Decree provides for port terminals in six states to be assigned to private initiative
A presidential decree that qualifies road, port and airport developments for the Investment Partnership Program (PPI) will be published in the Official Gazette (DOU) this Tuesday, 23. The decree also provides for the inclusion of federal public enterprises in the port and airport sectors in the National Privatization Program (PND).
In the port sector, the qualified projects under the PPI are the PEL01 terminals (at the Port of Pelotas, in Rio Grande do Sul); VDC10A (at the Port of Vila do Conde, Pará); MAC14 (in the Port of Maceió, Alagoas); SUA07, (at the Port of Suape, Pernambuco); and STS11 (at the Port of Santos, São Paulo). The list is completed by the Companhia das Docas do Estado da Bahia; and the ports of Salvador, Aratu-Candeias and Ilhéus, in Bahia.
In relation to the highways, the stretches listed by the stretches of BRs 414, 080, 101, 116, 465, 493, 040, 495 in Goiás, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo; and includes in the National Privatization Program stretches of BRs 163 (MT), 230 (PA) and 040 (RJ).
"Depending on a future decision based on the referred studies, the concessions may be made separately or in blocks", informed, through a note, the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic. He adds that these measures are aimed at “expanding and modernizing infrastructure through partnerships with the private sector”, in order to make the country more competitive.
