The International Fair of Tropical Irrigated Fruit Growing (Expofruit) 2020 will be postponed to 2021, according to Sebrae do Rio Grande do Norte. The reason is the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
Expofruit, the largest event in the sector in Brazil, will take place between August 25 and 27 next year. In the initial program, the fair would take place in August this year. According to the organization, it is the first time in 23 years that Expofruit has been postponed.
In a statement sent to the press, the organization of the event also reported that 80% of the shelves of the fair were already sold. Even so, the decision to postpone was made, because of the scenario of "uncertainty" caused by Covid-19.
