Expert warns that technique is indicated for soils with low nutrients
Among the advantages of the system make sowing faster, which reduces expenses since fertilization was done in advance and avoids online operation. The technique is performed on the soil surface, generating gain in time and productivity, as it allows a fertilizer application range up to 36m. "As it is performed even before sowing, it provides the soil with the nutrients demanded by each crop," explains Reinaldo Damasio, technical assistance coordinator at MP Agro.
To decide when to fertilize the haul the producer must understand the variability of the soil using, for example, soil analysis and guidance of a professional. Thus it is possible to detect which nutrients are missing and still have greater efficiency in the application of fertilizers, especially in the toss fertilization, such as in potassium supplementation for soybean cultivation.
"In sandy soils, for example, with low CTC (cation exchange), to avoid leaching, an erosive process caused by washing the surface layer of the soil by water runoff, it is indicated to do fertilization in sowing or preseeding, and still in cover, 30 to 40 days after sowing, both for cultivars of earlier and for later cycle" , details Damásio.
