New costs of agricultural production are now available for consultation on the website of the National Supply Company (Conab). Prepared by the technical team of the state in March and May of this year, the new values can also be found in the Portal of Agricultural Information in format.
They are spreadsheets of more than 40 products grown or extracted, including meat, dairy activity, açaí and others, updated annually. The cost review work adopted a methodology that ensured the safety of all those involved in the process, both employees and agents of the sector, in order to respect the measures to cope with COVID-19, according to the Conab sector responsible for the research.
"The updating of costs was made possible by collecting the prices paid by producers on materials and equipment, for example, performed by technicians in virtual contact with resellers of inputs and agricultural machinery during the period," explains Conab Agribusiness Information Superintendent Cleverton Santana.
The amounts will subsidize, above all, government measures directed to the Minimum Price Guarantee Policy (PGPM) and the Price Guarantee Program for Family Agriculture (PGPAF).
Other products – Conab also allows the research of the cost of production of temporary, perennial, winter, first and second harvest crops that have bimonthly updating.
These values are also used in studies and as a source of information for administrative and operational decisions of public or private entities.
Searches can be made by the Agricultural Information Portal and from parameters such as product, harvest, production technology, as well as reference year, variable costs by state, municipality and other comparisons of productivity and variable costs.
