The estimate is that the service will allow a reduction in the average processing deadline for financing proposals from 24 months to approximately six months.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), through the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives (SAF), launched on Monday, 27, a new service, totally digital, for obtaining credit through Terra Brasil – Program National Land Credit. The new platform can be accessed through the Gov.br portal.
SAF’s estimate is that the service will allow a reduction in the average processing deadline for financing proposals from 24 months to approximately six months. The flow will be reduced from 12 to six service phases divided as follows: Request; State Analysis; Federal Analysis; Financial analysis; Corrections and pending adjustments; and Finalization.
“This is another important step in the work that we have been doing since the beginning of the government, with a focus on improving the Land Credit Program. The objective is to reduce bureaucracy and expand the access of family farmers to land credit, qualifying the hiring process and speeding up the granting of financing to rural workers ”, says the secretary of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives, Fernando Schwanke.
According to the Map, the digital service “Get Credit – Terra Brasil” will also promote greater agility in the process of assessing the eligibility of the applicant and the rural property, as well as providing, from the beginning, reference price information for land acquisition in the Brazil, in the candidate’s region of interest. This information would allow greater agility in the elaboration of the technical project, with economic and financial technical feasibility of the rural property, and the speed in the calculation by Organs competent bodies.
The new platform would also guarantee access to information for monitoring the stages of analysis, approvals, sending documents, correcting pending issues and requests for additional information, which will be automatically informed on the portal to the responsible technician, as sent by e-mail and by cell phone message (SMS), for the interested farmer and rural producer.
The digital service “Get Credit – Terra Brasil” is now available and access must be made through the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Ater) companies, both public and private, that prove the certification in the CET service – Certify Entities and Technicians for granting land credit. Therefore, citizens interested in obtaining credit for the purchase of rural property should seek the Ater company in their municipality to receive guidance on access to rural credit with resources from the Land Fund, through Terra Brasil.
